In 1969, several Quaker meetings came together and established Quaker House in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Ft. Bragg, the largest military installation in the United States, the 82nd Airborne, and Special Operations, is also part of Fayetteville, and is key to the story of Quaker House. This book tells that story and also Quaker House’s continuing history of both serving the military community and advocating for peace. Published in 2009, the story covers 40 years of remarkable experiences.
