Description
Unfortunately, we must now be aware of torture and how it is rationalized in our culture. This pamphlet collects essays and resources about the patience and determination required to stay aware and to resist such atrocities enacted on other human beings.
The pamphlet was published in 2009. However, with the appointment of Gina Haspel as Deputy Director of the CIA in 2018, this book remains critically important. At the very least, she pushed for the destruction of tapes of waterboarding that occurred at a Thailand CIA black site.
